Yesterday, Monday we started a new unit. In this unit we are studying the possessive adjectives. Here they are:

My
Your
His
Her
Its
Our
Your
Their

Examples:

This is my coat

This is your pencil case

This is his top (Omar´s top)

This is her bottle of water (Marta´s bottle of water)

This is little difficult for some of the students, but we don´t have to worry. Little by little, everybody will get used to using them.

To practice the possesive adjectives, we were filling up a worksheet about the Simpsons and saying sentences like: About Homer: Bart is his son. Lisa is his daughter. Marge is his wife.

Then, we read a story about a boy called Benjamin. Benjamin had a wonderful imagination and he imagined many things that nobody else could see. For the Olympic Games the students were divided into 2 teams and each team had to write a list of the things that Benjamin imagined. Guess wahat! Both teams gave the same number of correct answers: 7. That means everybody in the group had 7 points.

Homework

Make 1 drawings of something your father has. Example: My father.    This is his car.
Make 1 picture o something your mother has:  Example: My mother.:  This is her bag.
Make a picture of something you have: Example: This is my doll.
