Hello,
The picture on top was made by Marta, Nene and Alejandra. It is a very cozy living room and it's got all kinds of furniture: a sofa, an armchair, a cabinet, a bookcase, a chest of drawers and a sideboard. There are other things too: a fire place with a plant on top, a rediato rto keep the room warm and a lamp on the chest of drawers. And a door and and a window, of course.
The picture on the bottom was made by Sergio, David and Noelia. This living room includes a dining area: a table and a chair with a computer on the table so children can play computer games.
Good job everybody! Sergio asked me to hang the pictures on the blog so parents could see them. Good idea!
We started our class of this week correcting the homework. We listened to the recording again so everybody had the chance to hear it.
Later students were practicing again the questions: What's is this? for 1 thing and the answer: It's a coat or it's a table. What are these? for 2 or 3 or more things, and the answer: They are chairs or they are folders.
They were asking each other: Where do you sleep? or Where do you watch TV? or Where do you have dinner? They had to reply: In my bedroom or in the living room or in the dining room. Then, they worked on a worksheet with the same kind of questions.
After making their living rooms in groups of 3 students, we played the Olympic Games: students had to answer the same type of questions as in the paragraph above. I don't have the scores right now but they all did very well.

Hello again,
I was happy to see that most students had done their homework. Well done!
Today we started the class reviewing numbers. The teacher asked: What´s the next number? First, we counted one by one, so if the number was 35, the student had to say 36. Then in twos: 2, 4, What´s the next number? Then backwards and in twos. 20, 18, What´s the next number?
We reviewed the clothes. Students had to say what they were wearing: I am wearing a white -shirt, a black and white track suit and trainers.
We continued studying the rooms of the house , but this time students had to distinguish between these two questions:
What is this? And answer It is a bed, or a table, or a shelf.
And
What are these? And answer: They are books or they are postcards.
New words they learned today are: bed, table, shelf, rabbit, cards, cupboard, upstairs, downstairs.
Here are the Olympic Games scores for today:
Player 1 5 points
Player 2 10
Player 3 5
Player 4 4
Player 5 1.5
Player 6 4

Happy New Year 2014¡
Nice to see you all. And I´m glad you got so many Christmas presents. (Students asked each otherat the beginning: How many presents did you get?) We were also reviewing the months and the days of the week.
Our new unit is about houses and rooms. These are the words we learned yesterday: kitchen, bathroom, living room, dining room, bedroom, the boy´s bedroom, the girl´s bedroom, garage, laundry room, study.
Students practiced pronunciation of words and matched words with pictures. They played a memory game with the picture cards.
Then they listened to a recording, sentences like: Look at Picture A. What room is that? or Is that the kitchen? After that, students got together with a partner and practiced the same kind of questions and answers.
We reviewed the alphabet and students practiced spelling their names. Then we did spelling for the Olympic Games. This is the first time they do that so they found it a little difficult, but I am quite sure that pretty soon they'll all become the best spellers. Cheers!
Homework: draw 2 rooms in your house and write underneath:
