Hi, this is to wish you all a wonderful vacation. And of course,

MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR

In our last class children sang the Christmas song they had been learning the last weeks.
Very Good Job, everyone¡
I want to highlight Sergio´s performance because he knew the lyrics perfectly well and besides, he can sing really well. He did deserve to be the winner of the Olympic Games, although there were other students whose work is remarkable.

All in all I´m really happy with this group, I think they are learning a lot and they are very active and enthusiastic.

See you in January 2014.

Today we had to prepare some pictures to go with our Christmas songs. Daniela did not come so we  still have to do one of the pictures.Anyway, this is what each student did:

David: he made a picture of a boy crying and wrote a big NO on it.

Sergio: he drew a picture of a boy pouting and wrote a huge NO on it.

Alejandra: she drew a picture of Santa Claus coming to town.

Omar: he drew a picture of Santa writing a list of names ( and checking it twice).

Nene: she drew a picture of a nice and good child-angel.

Marta: she drew a picture of a naughty and bad child devil.

Noelia: she drew a picture of a child sleeping.

The drawings are great (Sorry, all of them).

Then we were rehearsing the Christmas song using the drawings. That was difficult at the beginning but pretty soon everybody was coming out at the right moment. This is important because it means they know what they are singing.

We completed the Simpsons´worksheet. It is about possessive adjectives.

My
Your
His
Her
It
Our
Your
Their

Remember: This is Marge . Bart, Lisa and Maggie are her children. We say her because Marge is a girl or a woman.

So you can have some fun during the week here is link: Enjoy your week and Watch out¡

Today childen had to say their telephone number, but most students didn´t know it.

We reviewed the names of clothes all together and then one by one. To practice, we played Around the World. There was no winner today. Maybe next time. These are the clothes they have to learn: T-shirt, shirt, skirt, dress, trousers, jeans, jacket, coat, sweater, socks, shoes, boots, scarf, gloves, belt, tie, pajamas and the plural of the singular verbs,  like: skirts, shirts, coats, belts, dresses, sweaters, ties.

Children drew 2 clothes items, cut them out, said what they had  and put them in the middle of the table. Then they asked each other:
Is this your T-shirt?
or
Are these your jeans?

We were rehearsing the Christmas song. Keep practising, you are doing really well¡

Here, boys and girls, click on this link and play the game, I´ll ask you next Monday.
